MAGMA Engineering Korea Co., Ltd. successfully hosted the 2025 MAGMA KOREA User Meeting (UGM) on November 11–12, 2025, at the Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Botanic Park, marking the company’s 20th anniversary.
Held biennially, the MAGMA KOREA UGM brings together MAGMASOFT® users and foundry industry professionals to exchange the latest technical insights and real-world applications. This year’s event, celebrating two decades of MAGMA Korea’s journey, focused on the key themes of economic value, sustainability, and AI-driven foundry innovation—exploring both the present and future of manufacturing technology.
The first day of the UGM focused on evaluating casting process economics and energy-saving strategies using MAGMA ECONOMICS. Through practical presentations, participants learned how CO₂ emission analysis can guide eco-friendly process design, improve cost efficiency, and enhance productivity in real production environments.
Attendees discussed how MAGMASOFT® can go beyond process validation to serve as a strategic tool for cost optimization and quality improvement. Particular attention was given to the role of MAGMA ECONOMICS in quantifying process value and identifying opportunities for improvement through data-driven analysis.
On the second day, sessions explored the integration of AI technologies with simulation, highlighting how artificial intelligence can transform manufacturing decision-making and process optimization. Invited experts from the industries shared the latest AI research trends and real-world applications, offering valuable insights into how AI will shape the next generation of manufacturing innovation.
This year’s UGM also served as a meaningful milestone to reflect on MAGMA Korea’s 20-year journey. Established in 2005 as a joint venture, MAGMA Engineering Korea became a wholly owned subsidiary of MAGMA GmbH (Germany) in 2024, strengthening its commitment to advancing foundry simulation technology and supporting Korea’s industrial competitiveness.
Marketing manager commented, “The 2025 UGM was a truly meaningful opportunity to look back on our 20 years of progress and to discuss the future of foundry innovation in the era of AI and sustainable manufacturing. Moving forward, MAGMA Korea will continue to support our customers in achieving greater efficiency and sustainability in production.”
Building on its two decades of experience, MAGMA Engineering Korea remains dedicated to delivering sustainable foundry solutions that create both economic and environmental value through MAGMASOFT®. The company plans to continue fostering collaboration and technical exchange with customers to drive smarter manufacturing innovation across industries.
