The first day of the UGM focused on evaluating casting process economics and energy-saving strategies using MAGMA ECONOMICS. Through practical presentations, participants learned how CO₂ emission analysis can guide eco-friendly process design, improve cost efficiency, and enhance productivity in real production environments.

Attendees discussed how MAGMASOFT^® can go beyond process validation to serve as a strategic tool for cost optimization and quality improvement. Particular attention was given to the role of MAGMA ECONOMICS in quantifying process value and identifying opportunities for improvement through data-driven analysis.

On the second day, sessions explored the integration of AI technologies with simulation, highlighting how artificial intelligence can transform manufacturing decision-making and process optimization. Invited experts from the industries shared the latest AI research trends and real-world applications, offering valuable insights into how AI will shape the next generation of manufacturing innovation.

This year’s UGM also served as a meaningful milestone to reflect on MAGMA Korea’s 20-year journey. Established in 2005 as a joint venture, MAGMA Engineering Korea became a wholly owned subsidiary of MAGMA GmbH (Germany) in 2024, strengthening its commitment to advancing foundry simulation technology and supporting Korea’s industrial competitiveness.
