On September 23, the 2025 Next-Generation Cast Iron Casting Technology Seminar was successfully held at the conference hall of the Goryeong Industrial Complex Management Office. A total of 50 participants gathered to explore the latest trends and solutions in cast iron casting technology.
The event brought together key players from across the industry, creating an engaging atmosphere where technical insights were shared and new opportunities for collaboration with research institutions and partners were actively discussed.
The seminar centered on the latest advancements in MAGMASOFT simulation technology, with a strong focus on addressing real challenges on the shop floor and exploring practical applications for the future.
The sessions began with a presentation on cast iron process simulation, highlighting how comprehensive quality stabilization and defect prediction can be achieved. This was followed by a deep dive into the inoculation process, demonstrating how this critical step for cast iron quality can be effectively modeled and optimized through simulation—an area that drew significant interest from the audience.
Another highlight was the introduction of AI-driven simulation approaches, showcasing not only theoretical concepts but also realistic applications and potential directions for future development. Finally, the seminar addressed the industry’s pressing concerns of cost reduction and carbon neutrality. Through MAGMA ECONOMICS and practical case studies, participants gained valuable insights into achieving both economic and environmental goals.
Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in active discussions and Q&A sessions, making the event not just a platform for information delivery but a true exchange of knowledge. The presence of both industry and research representatives further enhanced the networking opportunities, enabling dialogue on potential areas of cooperation.
The involvement of partner companies also added great value to the seminar, enriching the technical content and clearly demonstrating how MAGMASOFT® contributes directly to real-world casting operations.
Building on the success of this event, MAGMA Engineering Korea will continue to create opportunities where the industry and research communities can come together to collaborate and innovate. Future seminars will serve as a platform to strengthen partnerships, identify new business leads, and support the industry in enhancing its technical competitiveness.
